HKS SOURCING

DA-H 225 Rotary Actuator

The HKS DA-H 225 is a helical hydraulic rotary actuator in HKS's large-bore industrial programme, rated at about 32,000 Nm output torque at 210 bar with a displacement of 6,676 cm³ and a catalogue weight of about 488 kg. The number 225 is an HKS bore / housing size designation, not a torque figure and not another maker's size number. In HM's controlled cross-reference this reference sits in the 32,000 Nm class, matched to HM's own HMR1-3200 build. HM Hydraulics supplies an alternative unit from that HM build and supports the selection work around it; we do not hold the HKS unit as a stocked SKU and do not promise stock, lead time or confirmed availability. Rotation, mounting interface, shaft and port arrangement are checked against your nameplate and drawing before any quotation.

What carries over

  • Torque class and rated pressure (210 bar).
  • Helical, HKS-style flanged architecture.
  • Rotation: 90/180/270/360° available on the HMR1 series. A 180/90 code is a 180° unit with the stop set at 90°, not a separate build.

What has to be verified

  • Shaft / output flange interface and spline.
  • Mounting bolt pattern and pilot register.
  • Port size and position, plus valve arrangement (NV / CB / CS).
  • Overall envelope and tie-rod clearance.

Comparable performance based on rated torque class for engineering comparison. The mounting interface must be confirmed by our engineering team before quotation.

Cross referenceReferences below are engineering cross-references by torque class from HM's controlled multi-brand database; they are not validated substitutions. Same torque class (comparable rated output; independent housing and mounting designs - do not assume matching dimensions): HM HMR1-3200 (32,000 Nm). No other maker in the controlled set publishes a matching class at this size, so the HKS DA-H / I-DA-H pair is the only same-class reference recorded here. HM has no supply-verified interchange record for this pairing, so the highest claim we make is 'same torque class / comparable'; nothing is presented as a verified interchangeable unit.
Further dataTorque, pressure, port and mounting dimensions are shared with the engineering drawing on request.

Send us your original model number, part number or machine details and we confirm the matching configuration, specifications and compatibility, then quote. The exact ordering code — rotation, output and valve arrangement — is confirmed against your unit and is not published online.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does the DA-H 225 replace?+

It is the original HKS model code for a helical hydraulic rotary actuator providing 90° / 180° / 270° / 360° rotation. HM provides sourcing and alternative-supply support for this reference; it is not assumed to be an original HKS part or a pre-verified interchangeable unit, and the configuration is confirmed against your actuator nameplate and drawing before we quote. HM can source or arrange alternative supply for this reference; mounting dimensions, shaft, ports and the exact configuration are checked against your unit and drawing before any alternative is recommended.

Can HM supply the HKS DA-H 225 or I-DA-H 225?+

HM supplies an alternative unit from its own HMR1-3200 build, which sits in the same 32,000 Nm torque class at 210 bar. We do not keep the HKS unit in stock and do not promise availability or lead time. The exact HKS configuration - rotation, mounting, shaft and port arrangement - is confirmed against your nameplate and, where needed, a mounting drawing before we quote.

What is the difference between DA-H and I-DA-H at the same size?+

They are the same bore size in two programme generations. The DA-H sheet is rated at 210 bar; the I-DA-H sheet is the newer 250 bar build with cushioning, an adjustable angle stop and a camshaft as standard, and it is heavier for the same bore. Published rated torque at the same size is the same, because it is set by the displacement, not by the higher pressure rating. Which one you have is read from the nameplate, and it matters for the interface and the pressure the rest of the circuit is set to.

Is the HM HMR1-3200 a drop-in replacement for the HKS DA-H 225?+

No. They sit in the same torque class in our cross-reference, but the housing, mounting bolt pattern, shaft and port arrangement are designed independently. We confirm each of those against your unit before quoting, and we do not claim a verified drop-in fit from the model number alone.

What information does HM need before quoting this actuator?+

Send the nameplate (brand, full model code, rotation, mounting, shaft and port details) and a mounting drawing or photo if you have one. We then confirm the configuration and advise the alternative-supply option, including what has to be adapted on the interface.

Why is the exact HM model and price not shown?+

We confirm the HM model per inquiry after verifying the interface and operating parameters with you. This avoids shipping a part that looks right by model name but differs in mounting or rotation. Price is provided with that confirmed quote.
